Easter 2007 saw the Falcon GT Club of WA host the GT Nationals for the first time since the inception of the Nationals in the 80s. The club was extremely happy with the outcome and look forward to the opportunity to host the event in WA again. A little rain was experienced over the weekend however, it did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the 200 plus entrants. The Saturday saw 170 plus cars on display at Langley Park, while on the Sunday the cars were put through their paces at Barbagallo Raceway. The event finished with a sunny cruise to York for a BBQ lunch before entrants made their way home. Entrants traveled from as far a field as north Queensland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Many interstate visitors made extended their trip and made it the family holiday as well. Some traveled just to see the show, forced to leave their beloved GT at home, while others were fortunate enough to be able to bring their GT to the Nationals. From Western Australia the event heads to South Australia for 2009, and from there to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria before returning to WA in 2017. |
